Hedgehogs and Squirrels had a glorious, fun filled day at Filey Beach School. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff at Filey Infants CE School for hosting  us.  The weather was magnificent!

Despite the awful weather The Badgers enjoyed the Food and Farming Day at Driffield. They learned about where our food comes from and the role that the farmer plays in it’s production.

The Foxes have been busy planting and harvesting in Forest School ….

The Foxes have worked extremely hard in recent weeks and were able to celebrate in Forest School. They were able to identify lots of different wild plants in our Forest School, and harvest the peas we planted in April!

Enhancing our learning

This term the children have enhanced their curriculum learning by visiting various locations.  The Foxes visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the Squirrels visited Sewerby Hall and the Hedgehogs went to Bridlington Animal Park.  With grateful thanks to Hornsea Lions for supporting our learning by providing either their minibus or making a donation towards the transport costs.

Looking after our environment

A representative from ERYC Waste Recycling team visited the school to talk about waste recycling.  The children learnt how to sort waste into the appropriate bins that we have at home and what happens to the waste after it is taken to the recycling centre.
