May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all

– Our school’s Grace

Christian Value

Our Christian Value this half-term is Service.  We will be exploring this value through our worship and discussions in class.  We will be linking this value to King Charles’ Coronation and reflecting on the service of his mother Queen Elizabeth.

Structure

Collective Worship follows the structure of: Gather, Engage, Respond and Send

Links with our local Church – St Lawrence

Our local church is St Lawrence, Main Street, Sigglesthorne, East Riding of Yorkshire, HU11 5QG

Visiting the Church

The whole school attends St. Lawrence’s regularly throughout the year where we hold, Easter, End of Year and Harvest Festival services, together with visiting for our act of Remembrance Service at the Cenotaph in the Church Grounds.  We also come together with members of the church community for a beautiful candlelit Christingle service every Christmas which is always very well supported by parents and the local community.

We are very lucky that we can also visit St. Lawrence to help support what we learn in our lessons.

On Remembrance Day the children and the staff were joined by members of the local community at St Lawrence
Church. We laid our poppies on the memorial.

Things to talk about at home ….
